When you purchase your gas refrigerator, it is recommended that you hire a licensed technician to safely and expertly set up your gas connections and install your appliance. Connecting to your gas supply
All EZ Freeze Propane Gas Refrigerators are equipped with a fitting that does not need tape, liquid or paste sealers. A flex line is used to connect the unit to your gas supply. It's recommended that you make your connection to an On/Off valve. Make sure the flex line is long enough to give you the room to move the unit away from the wall. By doing this, you will have enough line to allow access to the rear of the unit for service.
   
Testing for Leaks
ALL connections must be tested for leaks prior to ignition. After ignition, test all connections again for leaks. You can use the traditional soapy water solution to test for leaks or professional solutions like "Gas Leak Detector" liquids. Apply the solution using a soft bristle brush and inspect the connections for bubbles.
   
Gas Pressure
All EZ Freeze Propane Refrigerators are designed to operate from an LP gas supply with 11" W.C. (Water Column) gas pressure. Your gas supplier will be able to check the pressure at the time of installation or you can check it yourself with a Manometer.
   
Leveling
Absorption type propane gas refrigerators all operate with the use of gravity. The angle of the tubing on the unit will determine the flow rate of the liquids. To ensure the best efficiency, it is essential that the unit be level to get an accurate flow rate.
   
Ventilation
Air ventilation (circulation) is very important - the larger the unit, the more circulation is required. Situate your refrigerator so that there is plenty of air circulation above and behind the unit. By providing plenty of air circulation you will prevent excessive heat buildup, allow for efficient refrigerator performance, and prevent a draft which could cause the burner to blow out.
